Margaret Hawke’s debut novel, Bellehaven, was inspired by her many years of working in all aspects of elder care, as well as, her love of the shore and her lifelong fascination with the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

Before devoting her writing life to Bellehaven, she wrote for, formerly known as Nursing Spectrum, a syndicated magazine for nurses. You can read her archived articles by her byline, Margaret Hawke, RN, MA.

She currently enjoys her time on an island off the coast of Florida.

Eclectic in her interests, she writes poetry and is also working on her memoir, The Act of Becoming, as well as, the first in a mysteries series featuring a travel nurse.

An avid member of several reading groups, she has included a readers group guide in her book and will attend readers groups as her schedule permits.
